Silere
Silere in Latin may be translated as ‘to be silent’ or ‘to be inactive’. This work explores silence as an intentional component of the sound material in these two forms — as absence of sound and as absence of action. Each of the four movements deals with this idea of silence-inactivity from a different perspective.
