Soil, wind, and rain
Three interventions for open and closed spaces
Soil, wind, and rain is a collection of performances whose objective is the realization of real-time sound experiences in communion with elements of nature. Any number of participants collects objects that may respond sonorously to these elements due to their resonant quality or facility of movement, e.g., large containers (rain), wind chimes and plastic bags (wind), and rolling objects (soil). These objects are positioned throughout the performance space and may be moved during the realization of the piece. The result is the combination of actions determined by the participants and those produced by the space, leading to an intimate creative interchange with our surroundings.
